A little insight into the preparation required to Get out the Vote at University of Colorado and some tips on photographing the event. I believe the key to event / candid / street photography is the percentage of "perfect" shots you can capture. Many moments happen once and are gone forever... On this topic, practice makes perfect.
My kit: Nikon D800, Nikon D700 backup (did not use), Nikkor 35-70mm 2.8D, Nikkor 50mm 1.4D, Nikkor 85mm 1.8D, Sigma 15mm 2.8 fisheye, Nikon SB-800 and SB-900 speedlights (did not use), all natural light.

The Day of the event - University of Colorado Election Day.
I wanted to get candid photos of people at the event, so, I brought my Nikon D800, 50mm 1.4, 35-70 2.8 and 85mm 1.8 lenses. I also brought along my Sigma 15mm 2.8 fisheye lens.
